Prologue:
The wind howled over the rocky cliffs and around the ancient ruins of Spear Pillar. Resting atop Mt. Coronet, this sad relic to an ancient time still pulsed with the energy of the fantastic pokemon that once walked its halls. Small flakes of snow fell from the gray sky, dusting the ground in white.
"So this is where you last appeared, Dialga."
From the mountain cave a man emerged, whispering these words. His long black coat shook in the wind as he emerged from the mouth of the mountain. His face is unknown, shrouded behind a deep cowl, but a few locks of golden hair shimmered in the light. On his wrist a crimson gauntlet which covered his entire right arm and hand inside its metallic shell. An electric blue light pulsed from the small computer screen at the wrist. The machine is plain except for for a small seal at the palm, a blue oval with the infinity sign in the center.
The man walked forward from the cave, his footsteps crunching in the snow. The massive pillars tower around him, their crumbling sides overgrown with green lichen and moss. He shows no fear in the midst of this awesome monument to the past, quite the opposite. Apprehension of what is to come pushed him forward deep into the ruins of Spear Pillar. At the edge of the massive cliff he stopped and looked around, his black cloak tight against his body.
"Oh Dialga! Where are you?" He called out, like a mother calling to her child playing a game of hide-and-seek. He raised his right hand, the one sealed inside the gauntlet, towards the sky. "Sweet Scent!" The seal on his palm glows and a red powder shot upwards only to fall to the ground again.
"Oh Dialga I know you cannot resist my power! Come to me so I can finally meet you again!" He heard movement from the cave opening and turned quickly. A blue bell shaped pokemon with twin red circles near its base appeared in the opening, attracted by sweet scent.
"Bronzong?" It cried, moving towards the man, its mind overtaken by sweet scent.
"NO!" The man bellowed. "I called Dialga here not you!" He raised his metallic arm at the dazed pokemon.
"Get out of my sight! Thunderbolt!" From his wrist a bolt of lightning emerged, streaking across the mountaintop, striking the pokemon in its chest and sending it crashing into the corroded pillar behind it. The pillar crumbled under the weight of the pokemon sending rubble flying into the air.
Awakened from its dazed, Bronzong levitated up into the air. "BRONZOOOONG!!" It called in anger, as its arms glow and a ball of energy is shot at the cloaked man.
"Protect!" The man yelled, instantly a wall of energy appeared before him causing Bronzongs attack to explode and scatter.
"You should be giving me Dialga not attacking your superior!!" The man cried, "thunderbolt!"
Another wave of electricity struck Bronzong. The injured pokemon collapsed to the ground, sending a cloud of snow upwards.
"Perhaps you can be of use to me..." He muttered, studying the pokemon. Pointing his sealed hand at the pokemon a red laser shoots out, engulfing the pokemon and sending it into the machine, similar to the way a pokeball would.
"Analyzing moveset for unknown moves" a female voice spoke from the gauntlet. "Downloading all unknown moves from Bronzong's current move set... Download of Gyro ball, and sleep talk complete."
"Thank you Infinity" the man whispered. "This is your punishment for not bringing me Dialga!" he yells as he pointed his hand over the side of the cliff, "Bronzong! I choose you!"
The fainted pokemon materialized feet from the cliff side and fell all the way to the bottom, it hadnt even awakened from its fainted state. The man looked skyward and bellows out.
"I will find you Dialga!! You will be mine!!!" His maniacal laughter echoed off the sides of the mountain, his voice carried across the land...
Chapter 1:
The golden sun sank low in the sky, barely more then a sliver was visible above the mountains. Amber light reflected off the water, making its surface glisten. The small creek that cut through the out skirting fields of Meadow Route down gurgled as it cascaded off boulders and down waterfalls. Overhead groups of Taillow and Starly called out to each other, their songs putting a tune to this peaceful place.
Over the weathered stone bridge that traversed the creek, a parade of pokemon and their trainers walked, calling out joyously to each other. A Bulbasaur, Girafarig, Azumarill, Ryhorn, Macargo and many more walked across towards the other side of the creek and onto the dirt path.
In the midst of all these joyous Pokemon, their two trainers walked with them talking to each other and laughing. One was a teenage boy, his brown, curly hair sun bleached from his adventures outside. His worn jeans have grass stains on them, and his black hoodie plenty of dust and dirt.
The other adventurer is a girl of about the same age. Her golden locks are tied into a messy bun on the back of her head, and a slim red medicine pouch is strapped to her waist. Unlike her friend her white mini-shorts are perfectly clean as is her blue tank-top. At their waists are 6 empty pokeballs, their pokemon walking about at complete liberty sharing in the glorious sunset.
The parade stops at a great oak tree, whose wide branches extend over the creek and leaves provide perfect shade.
"This seems like a good enough spot to stop." The boy said to the girl "What do you think about it Anew? Want to get some sleep before we pass through Mt. Coronet?"
"But Brendan!" Anew whined "Meadow Route is only a few miles away! We could get a room, take a shower, eat some good food..."
"Awww come on Anew! Stop complaining. By the time we'd get to Meadow Route it'd be late and all the stores would be closed." He smiled at the girl, his fair hair swaying in the wind.
"Oh alright..." Anew mutters, smiling as well. She liked his smile and the way he looked now, his body illuminated in the golden light, it made him look divine...
A sudden flash of light shocked her out of her daydream. It streaked near the peak of the mountain.
"Brendan!" she called, "Brendan did you see that light?"
"aww what is it now Anew?"
"On the top of the mountain there was a giant light. Look! There it is again!"
"Whoa!" Brendan exclaimed, "Maybe there's trainers up there! They must be pretty tough to make it all the way to the summit. There must be an electric type up there! Ive never seen any electric types in Sinnoh! We didnt have many in Johto did we?"
"Look! Something fell from the top!" She cried, tracking it with her pointer finger. The blob smashed into the ground, having fallen hundreds of feet from the cliff edge. A cloud of dust rose from where it crashed making a crater visible even from their distance. Anew jumped up and raced towards it, her pokemon following her heels.
"Anew!" Brendan called, "Anew what are you doing?!?" However he recieved no answer as she raced on to the crash site over a mile away.
"Awww come on Anew!" he groaned, "Come on guys, we gotta go get her!"
Brendan slowed to a halt next to Anew, breathing deeply from the long run. However he is stopped in shock at what he sees. In the center of a small crater was a strange looking pokemon, bell shaped with long flat arms. Its labored breathing was all the sound that came from the injured pokemon. Brendan pulls out his red pokedex, flipping it open the voice of Dexter emerged.
"Bronzong, it brought rains by opening portals to another world. It was revered as a bringer of plentiful harvests."
"Wow," Brendan muttered softly, "It fell from that far and is still alive! That mustve been a million feet! Its incredible isnt it? ...Anew?"
Anew is completely focused on the Bronzong, her eyes trained to a crimson patch on its body.
"Anew what is it? Whats wrong?"
She slowly pointed to the crimson spot, "thats not on the picture..."
Brendan kneels in for a closer look. What appeared to be a spot is really a pulsing membrane like slime, coming out of several holes in the Bronzongs skin. As they stare the slime grows, spreading out over the Bronzong at an astounding rate. In a matter of moments the Bronzong was covered in the red slime, the sound of its breathing stops and its body grows still.
Anew breaks down and cries, her tears hissing into steam as it hits the strange slimes surface. Brendan stares at it in shock and fear.
"Theres no way this was done by a pokemon battle..."
